The Tripartite Partnership (TPP) Project screened and recruited capable consultants for the Ashaiman, Mankessim and Huni Valley pilot project implementation process. The project implementation process required the recruitment of consultants to support the 3 TPP Pilot Projects.
The Tripartite Partnership (TPP) Project has embarked on a toolkit development process under the guidance and supervision of a Dutch Consultant, Ms Manon Dohmen since May 2010. The process of working under her guidance the Knowledge and Skills Development Expert, Ms Dohmen to develop the toolkit intensified as the set deadline for its finalisation draws closer.
The Tripartite Partnership (TPP) Project continues to develop a range of information products in line with its objectives to address the weak capacity of the Sector to provide sustained pro-poor WASH services through the identification and demonstration of innovative approaches in selected pilot areas involving tripartite partnerships of NGOs, public and private sectors.
The eighth National Level Learning Alliance Platform (NLLAP) took place on Wednesday 30 June, 2010. The theme of this meeting was “ Management models for small towns and urban water supply in Ghana”. The TPP project presented findings from mapping and case studies that have been undertaken within the framework of the project, describing and assessing urban and small town water management models.The link below gives access to presentations and the communique from this meeting.
Mr. Eugene Larbi, the TPP project team leader has revealed that the local level learning alliance platforms will be established soon in the three pilot areas.
The Euro 1.979million African Water Facility (AWF) /Tripartite Partnership (TPP) pilot initiative is the first AWF approval for Ghana since the beginning of its operations in 2006. The facility has since its establishment approved 61 projects for other African countries involving a total Grant amount of Euro70 million. The start of the TPP pilot projects will mark the start of another important project in the urban WASH sector after the ongoing Accra Sewerage Improvement Project funded by the African Development Bank (ADB). The Resident Representative of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group, Mr Alieu Jeng made this revelation when he addressed the launch of the AWF/TPP pilot project in Accra.
