The 5th Rural Water Supply Network (RWSN) Forum will take place in Accra, Ghana from 27 Nov 06 - 30 Nov 06. The main theme of the forum will be Scaling up Local Entrepreneurship in Rural Water Supply to meet the MDGs.

The Mole conference has been nominated for the Kyoto World Water Grand Prize. "The Mole Conference Series: A rallying Point for Civil Society Advocacy in the Water & Sanitation Sector in Ghana", has been selected as one of the thirty finalists to compete for the Prize during the 4th World Water Forum in Mexico. This article provides background information on the Mole Platform, which has proven to be a great platform for the Ghanaian Water and Sanitation sector and is now even gaining international recognition.
Over the past 16 years, the Mole conference has constituted the most important multi-stakeholder forum for discussion issues relating to the development of the Community Water and Sanitation Sector issues. This year's Mole conference has again lived up to expectation. It was organised by the Coalition of NGOs in the Water and Sanitation sector (CONIWAS) at the Miklin hotel in Kumasi from 7 till 10 June 2005. The conference brought together about 100 stakeholders within the Ghanaian Water and Sanitation Sector including donors, agency staff, NGO personnel, community groups and District Assembly staff. The theme of the Conference's was "Counting the Numbers: A Water and Sanitation Sector MDG Challenge".
