Accra, Nov. 22, GNA - The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaborating with Zoomlion Ghana Limited (ZGL) will launch an environmental sanitation awareness month to help address management and environmental sanitation challenges facing the nation.
The theme for the programme scheduled for December is: “Clean Environment, a shared Responsibility.’’

“It will also boost waste management practices at the domestic/household levels with the distribution of up to one million bins nationwide,” it said
The statement highlighted important events including drama and role plays on sanitation, a conference on “Changing Environmental Sanitation Behavior,” audio-visual programmes, float and road show and clean up exercises in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale.
It said Zoomlion and its partners are soliciting the co-operation and involvement of the citizenry to help rid the nation of environmental sanitation problems.
