The SWITCH Project and the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing are delighted to announce the 4th Ghana National Junior Water Prize (GNJWP). The aim is to provide an opportunity for the brightest young minds in science to begin their journey as the next generation of leaders in the water sector. The GNJWP feeds into the International Stockholm Junior Water Prize. Since 2008, Ghana has been part of the competition. This year participants are invited to compete with students from more than 30 countries in the international competition and prize award ceremony. The Prize: • National Junior Water Prize winners will participate in the International Stockholm Junior Water Prize in Stockholm, Sweden • The International Stockholm Junior Water Prize Laureate receives USD 5,000 and a blue crystal sculpture crafted in the shape of a water droplet by Hanne Dreutler of Studio Glashyttan in Åhus, Sweden. • The Stockholm Junior Water Prize enjoys Royal Patronage by H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. • The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) facilitates the award How to enter: Pre-university students between 15-20 years, who have undertaken a project aimed at enhancing the quality of life through, improvement of water quality; water resources management; water protection; water and wastewater treatment, are invited to submit a typed report on the project addressed to: The National Organizer, Junior Water Prize Water Directorate, Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, P.O.
